Maw Sit Sit was first identified by Swiss Gemologist Eduard Gubelin in 1963 in a town by the same name in Burma.
This material is found where Imperial Jadeite is mined. Maw Sit Sit is not considered jade, but is composed of
Chrome Jadeite, Ureyite, and Natrolite among other components. It is far more rare than jade, and is becoming a highly sought after gem for collectors, connoisseurs, and goldsmiths utilizing this beautiful material in high-end jewelry.
