"In a tradtional Japanese garden, shrouded in mist, a couple has a secret intimate encounter, making
love while leaning against a stone lantern. What makes this design extraordinary is that the apparent
female figure is actually a kabuki actor, making this is a homosexual encounter. The latter still wears
his makeup and cap for his role of the farmer Tsuchizo, who was in reality Prince Koretaka."

"Highly-entertaining scene with an intimate couple in a bathhouse with soaked travellers standing in the rain.
In amusing contrast to the crumpy men standing in the rain outside, the man inside has a better deal with his
female spouse soaping his penis. The designs of this series all point to a specific station of the 53 Stations
of the Tokaido as featured in Hiroshige's eponymous series. This is most probably station Tsuchiyama-juku
(the 49th Station). Therefore Shozan is also called 'the prime topographer of sex.' "

Perfections that lead to nirvana."
